Technology firms interested in the Korean market can expect to join in huge investment programs run by the Korean government as well as the private sector. These investment programs are designed to keep pace with Korea’s aggressive plan to upgrade their nationwide IT/telecom infrastructure as well as introduce new services. Korea Telecom is expected to invest $2 billion on infrastructure upgrades, and Korea’s largest mobile operator, SK Telecom, plans to invest $1.5 billion on new projects. Leading technology providers including major players such as Qualcomm, Samsung, and LG have already signed up to exhibit in EXPO COMM KOREA 2006.
